Weekend Coffee Share

There is a lot of reading (for school) going on at my house this weekend, but I would be most happy to take a little break and enjoy a beverage with you. Let’s sit here by the window. The leaves on the birch and aspen trees outside display such lovely fall colours. We do not eat a lot of candy at our house, but this weekend my daughter and I are splurging a little, my son is visiting his dad and it’s just us girls and hundreds of pages that needs to be read (mostly for me, but my daughter has some homework as well.) I figure some candy would make it a little more fun. Have some!

How is your week? I’d say that we’ve had a great, productive week so far. A good mix between work and play. I had a teacher’s seminar with my colleagues on Thursday, it went very well and we got a lot of things done. The school I work for is a private school and it aims to be in the lead when it comes to young children’s education. We, the teachers, and other employees, get educated on a regular basis to constantly improve our work. I really like that! We are expected to work hard and show good results, but I think that they provide good tools for us. It’s a rewarding job in many ways.

    1. The majority of the ones in the photo are actually vegan, (some are not, my daughter have some favourites that aren’t.) We live next to a big grocery store that are excellent at pointing out vegan alternatives, vegan candy do not have any gelantine, I am not entirely sure what they use instead. Or, if you are not in the mood for candy there’s freshly made cinnamon rolls. I hope you are enjoying a great weekend!

  3. It’s so wonderful that you really love your job, Maria. Most folks can’t say that! The tree colors look beautiful, soon your home will be covered in snow again. It’s 81F in Vegas just now, nice that the summer scorch is over. Have a great weekend my friend! ☺️🌹🌴

      81 sounds lovely, very nice. How are you enjoying those nice temperatures?
      There might be snow in a month, or two. The rowan berry trees had plenty of fruit, which they say is a sign for a winter with a lot of snow. We’ll see.

  7. Thank you for the coffee this weekend. I’m thinking sweets with reading is a good thing, something a little fun to go with homework! We are warmer than I’d like this weekend in the 90’s, but it cools off at night thankfully. I can’t believe it’s October! I do Love Fall! ❤️💛💚

      90’s that is warm! How are you and the horses holding on in this everlasting warm weather? The photos of Murphy looks wonderful. He looks very good, you are taking great care of him 🙂

      1. We are managing with the heat with cooling water bathes, and they have extra big water buckets we keep full so they have plenty of access to extra water. They sure drink it down on hot days! I’m fortunate both Chloe and Murphy have short winter coats, I use to have to clip Zack as he got such a long winter coat even with the heat! 🤠🐴🥰

    It sounds (no pun intended) like you’ve got your voice back or you would have mentioned it I think.
    Did you ever figure out what it was?
    It does sound like a great time in store for you and your daughter – and peppered with uncommon candy and books. Is there anything better t hope for from life?

  13. I just checked back to your site and realized that WP has not been putting your posts in my Reader, nor sending me emails of your posts! What’s up with that, I wonder? I am going to re-follow and see it that fixes it. Now I will go read the posts I missed!

    1. ❤ that's WordPress…sometimes it seem to have a mind of its own. I haven't been that active this fall, but I try to at least put up one new post every week. I do enjoy being a part of the blogging community very much.
