Kanelbullar! Oh Maria, don’t do this to me!! 🤤🤤🤤 I haven’t really taken the time to learn to bake them gluten-free (not that I made them very often before I was diagnosed coeliac either, then I could get them everywhere!) but have been thinking about it lately! After seeing this, I decided to give it a try while my husband is in Sweden later this month, to entertain myself!
I bet you will do excellent making them gluten free! That is exciting challenge, making them gluten free. I know we are going to get cinnamon rolls tomorrow at work, the chefs usually bake them for the kids “mellanmål” (afternoon snack) during Cinnamon Roll Day. I know that they will have to make some gluten free ones, I can ask if there’s any tricks to keep in mind while baking gluten free cinnamon rolls.
I have a recipe I used years ago, and I might have another recipe in a book I bought last year. I was fed up with failing with my bread, so I looked for more “technical” information about gluten-free baking, and found an excellent e-book by a Finnish lady. I’ve used one of her bread recipes for a year now!
Beautiful creation – do you put salt on top? My best friend’s mom when I was in high school made the best cinnamon buns. She was known for them up until her passing this year. It’s a gift to be able to make them turn out so lovely!
Cinnamon rolls? I love those coarse gems of sugar! I first had that on a brioche in France decades ago and fell in love with them! We can’t buy them here in Singapore.
