Welcome to the weekend coffee share! Can I get you a cup of coffee?
How are you doing? It’s been a short and busy week here. Everyone had Monday off due to Easter, and the kids had an Easter break all week. We’ve had very beautiful weather all week (cold mornings 28F/-2C and warm, sunny days 64F/17C,) up until yesterday (Saturday) when it was windy and much cooler (50F/10C) than the other days. I’ve been riding my bike to work all week, and then some. It feels great!

Yesterday I decided to do a little hiking at Lugnet Nature Reserve. It was beautiful, even though I met more people than I usually do. Many times I do not meet anyone at all, sometime I meet one, or two people, but yesterday I met around ten people. It was still peaceful and I enjoyed my forest bathing.

When I got home I’ll admit that I was a little cold, and I choose to have afternoon coffee inside. At one of my favourite spots, next to the big window bordering the balcony (see the photo at the top.) The plants are doing good, we are still waiting for warmer weather, but it is warm enough for my container garden to be outside 24/7. Enjoying my coffee next to this window, or outside at the balcony, are my favourite places to sit down for a cup of coffee in my home.

On Thursday afternoon, right after work, I enjoyed a cup of coffee and an audio book at the balcony. The sun was shining, and it was absolutely wonderful. It was so nice that I somehow fell asleep and woke up 30 min later, just in time to start dinner..

This weekend I’ve mostly been catching up on things around the house, something I really like doing, (and there are always things to do.) I find it very relaxing doing little things around the house, while hanging out with my daughter. This weekend we’ve been talking about the new school she is going to start this fall, and our (undecided) plans for the summer. Tell me about your week!
This week I’m very grateful that both of my children had a wonderful Easter break, the hopes and dreams of a lovely spring and summer to come, and all the time in nature I was blessed with this week. The week ends with a feeling of gratitude. Sunday is BTW the last day of the week in Sweden. Thank you Natalie for hosting the weekend coffee share.
Love,
Maria
Looks like spring is getting closer every day, Maria. Same here! Sounds like your Easter holiday was a nice rest!

The forest there is beautiful, Maria, the ancient rock is amazing. How nice that you can ride your bike to work, no need for a car and the fuel costs. It will be sunny and 73 in Las Vegas today, 2 days on it will be 91. The summer heat is on its way! Have a great new week Maria! ❤️🇸🇪

It is true, it is very nice to be able to choose not having a car. There is a car pool for when I really need one. I bet you already have summer now.

Hi Maria, it’s been in the 80s, and calling for 91 today so the summer heat is coming back pretty soon! I hope your weekend has been wonderful. ❤️🇸🇪

Happy Spring break for your kids. I’m also happy it’s warming up for you there so you can ride your bike and put your plants out in the balcony! Yay!! Your photos are so beautiful and the forest bathing so therapeutic. ❤️
My only plans so far in June is I’ve signed up to attend a Monty Roberts horse clinic called The Movement. It will be so wonderful to meet him and many others that will be there from the horse podcast I listen too, “Horses in the Morning”. I’ll also meet the trainer who had Murphy and works with the Horse and Hound Rescue. Her name is Jamie Jennings and she’s a certified Monty Roberts trainer. It will be a fun and educational event. It’s at Monty Roberts Flag is up Farm near Solvang so I’ll stay with my daughter. I’m very excited!! I hope you have a wonderful week ahead my sweet friend! 💞

What a lovely place to forest bathe, I can just imagine it! You are the only person I know that can fall asleep after having a cup of coffee, haha! Glad your Easter week was a good one.
Things are starting to grow here in earnest. The crocus and snowdrops are done, now daffodils are putting on their show. Friday (Earth Day) was glorious and I appreciated every minute of it. The earth was finally feeling the love… wish it would last forever… we need to make every day, Earth Day.
Enjoy the week ahead!

Every day should indeed be Earth Day! Well said my friend. I hope spring is making further progress in your neck of the woods. We are celebrating spring tonight. ❤

It has been a cool spring (okay with me), but the grass is lush green and the daffodils and violets are blooming. Right on time!

What a nice place to forest bathe — I love that term. It’s better than sun bathing in my opinion.

What a gorgeous place to visit! I think I’d be there all the time if I lived near enough 😉 I’m with you on the exposed root systems, they always capture my attention and leave me marveling at Nature’s wonder.
I’m happy to hear you had a wonderful week, lots of warm beverages, and a spontaneous nap (those are the *best)!
I hope this week offers you more moments of joy and gratitude. Cheers!

Thank you so much! It’s actually right next to me and I do spend a lot of time walking, and riding my bike in that forest. It is a huge area. It is wonderful since I am not lucky enough to live in nature like you do 🙂 Thank you for your kind comment 🙂
