Hi, can I offer you some coffee? Or tea? Perhaps we can take a walk, and enjoy our coffee by Lake Varpan? If you are feeling brave we can walk out on the lake, and stop in the middle for a coffee 🙂 I was out earlier today and saw lots of people on the lake. The ice is still thick. How is your week?

We are now only two weeks away from moving to our new place, and my free time is filled with different ways of getting organized for the move. I do enjoy it, so it is not a burden. Today I gave away an old crafting table that we had in my daughter’s room, but are unable to bring with us (her new room is smaller than the current one. She has the master bedroom now.) The girl who picked up the table turned out to be our new neighbour to be, the very closest neighbour. Small world. She was very nice, and I am sure we will get along well.
The photos are from my walk earlier. It does feel like spring outside. We’ve seen the sun on a few occasions this past week, and the days are slowly getting longer. What have you been up to this week? I hope your week is fabulous! Thank you Natalie for hosting the Weekend Coffee Share.
Love,
Maria
Good morning from Aussie land. I would love to have coffee on the ice that would be such fun. Such a stunning area. I want to take the tinnies(boats) inside out of the cold. or put sleds on them & scoot around. lol.
How cool that you met your new neighbour before you moved, lol. I think you would be able to teach removalists a thing or two by now. I am so excited for you & your treasures. Have a marvelously wonderful week ahead.

Good morning! It’s 4.29am Monday morning right now 🙂 How are you doing?
When I saw the boats laying there in the snow I immediately saw a painting of them in my head, with a sign above them “Waiting for summer”. I hope all is good in your neck of the wood. Thank you for having coffee with me. Have an awesome week ❤

Yikes, it looks too cold on that lake! Does anyone ever ice skate on it?

It was a rather warm day yesterday, around 35 F. Many people ice-skate there during the colder months. There is a bigger lake nearby and that lake is crowded. They have marvellous winter tracks for skating and competitions with competitors from all over the world. Lake Runn has many islands and is popular for recreational boating in the summer. In winter, Runn is popular for Tour skating and over 30 km of skating trails are plowed on the ice.

An exciting time for new beginnings, a fresh start. Hope it continues to go smoothly.
After last weekend’s frigid cold well below zero, the temps have risen and this week might see 60ºF! At this rate, spring will be very early, but of course, March can be full of surprises!
Have a great week. 💜

Yes, thank you Eliza! 60F?! That is crazy considering last weeks temperatures. I wonder how the wild animals are doing with these drastic changes? It has to be confusing. I hope all is well with you. Have a fabulous week!

How great that you met your new neighbour and felt you’d get along well. It’s been spring-like in my corner of the world with no ice or snow on the ground. I went for a long bike ride and walk today. It was sunny and beautiful outside. Thank you for your weekend coffee share and lovely photos. Have a great week ahead!

Yes, it also made my daughter very happy to hear that she has two children. They are younger than my daughter, but she loves to play with younger kids, so that is great!
Your weather sounds great! I am looking forward to long bike rides 🙂 Have a fabulous week Natalie ❤

Hi Maria,
It is great that your pre-move efforts have gone so well. I’d forgotten that your daughter had the master bedroom where you’re at now, but recall thinking that Sweden was still very new to her and thought you gave her the best chance to become as comfortable as possible while she learned Swedish and just found her place in this new country which is a very long way from Las Vegas – not sure it could much more different that what she’d known.
With all my travels – I don’t think I’ve ever ventured out on to a frozen lake or river. That would take some getting used to.
Less than two weeks now – good for you guys. I bet you’ll all love it.
Blessings.
